Jabu Ndaba of the South African music group Malaika, dies in Johanesburg South Africa!

Reports say that Jabu Ndaba succumbed to TB Monday July 14, 2008 at the Tshepong Hospital in Klerksdor, Johanesburg. He was born October 4th. 1976 and has died at age 32. The singer has been battling with the sickness which many suspect was AIDS related, although the singer denied being HIV positive. The trio was composed of Jabu Ndaba (RIP), Bongani Nchang and Tshedi Mholo but recent performances have been missing such an incredulous singer and dancer due to his sickness. Jabu and Bongani formed the group but later added on a female voice of Tshedi Mholo and that was the birth of Malaika. Together, they have scooped several awards as they sailed to stardom.

Jabu joined the band on their tour of Australia in February/March, promoting their new album Sekunjalo. This probably was the last time he appeared performing live with the band. Mr. Ndaba definitely had an incredible voice! That is another loss to the African music industry! May God Rest his soul in peace.
